12/12/06 Tabernacle:
I am not familiar with the "Tabernacle of David" Solomon? David gathered the
materials but did not build.
The difference between Moses and Solomon is considerable, tent vs.. glitz.
power vs.. prestige.
I see the Tabernacle in the wilderness as a prophetic guide for our markers of
worship today. Not as under the LAW but as loving influence and guidance for
those seven steps into experiencing the Kingdom.
Jesus as the Way, The Door, The Truth, The Light, the only way into the
Tabernacle.
The Altar for dropping off our flesh
The Laver for unity, peace and fellowship and daily cleansing.
The Show Bread to remind us of the Cross and the cost of our liberty.
The Incense to remind us to keep in prayer
The Manora to remind us of our dependency on the Holy Spirit
The Holy of Holies for full and complete fellowship with God and a place of
change and healing.
The power of the Kingdom for the needs of the world is with us today but there
is a price, Rom. 12:1-. The "church" has not been willing to walk in this
humility and has built to honor man rather than God. Europe is full of the
bones (church buildings) of man's past glories. Too bad that all of that energy
was not laid at the feet of our Lord for training disciples. Europe is now a
giant mission field that is hardened to the Gospel.
So I don't know about the Tabernacle of David, I guess? The Tabernacle of
Moses gives a clear road map.
